Celebrate Agriculture Weekend and House Ribbon Cutting

It was a very busy and successful week and weekend for the brothers and Alumni during Celebrate Ag week and the house remodel ribbon cutting.  Brothers were recognized during the scholarship banquet dinner for the college of Agriculture on Thursday night.  Saturday morning was the harvest breakfast before the football game, with brothers and alumni being recognized there as well.  On Saturday night, we had our new house ribbon cutting, with many alumni present for a great night of food and stories.

Our brothers delivered eight truck loads of wood to the local community after our annual wood chop!

 Homecoming 2016

First ever recipient of the Alpha Delta Brotherhood Scholarship awarded!
Congratulations to Sean Bengochea on receiving the first ever Brotherhood Scholarship started by an Alpha Delta alumnus. Several alumni reviewed some outstanding applications.

During the selection process, they had many great things to say about Sean. These included: “This brother really seems to go above and beyond what is being expected of a typical AGR,” “This brother seems to always put the house first no matter what the situation is,” and “All nominations are doing what is expected of an AGR but this one in particular really seems to stand out.”

The Brotherhood Scholarship is different than a typical scholarship. Instead of writing about oneself to earn this award, a fellow brother submits an application stating why he thinks a different brother should be recognized.

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize those brothers that put in the extra work to better themselves as well as the house. This scholarship is meant for others to be recognized and praised for the work they do. The hope is that is scholarship shines light on those background workers who put in countless hours and show continuous growth and character, all while bringing the Alpha Delta chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho closer and creating brotherly bonds that will last a lifetime.

Sean continuously shows exemplary leadership skills that not just AGR’s should follow, but any person who is dedicated to helping others do well along with creating their own successful life.

This $250 scholarship will be awarded once per semester to a brother of Alpha Gamma Rho who exhibits the effort and qualities desired.

The men of Alpha Gamma Rho – Alpha Delta Chapter truly thank you for all that you do.

All of the dry wall is up and carpet is going in! Things are really coming together and things should be completed by August 23rd. We encourage anybody who is interested to come walk through when everything is done. Please use the contact information on our website, or swing by in a few weeks and we will be glad to give you a tour.
